# Onboarding Guide: How to Purchase Solana in New Zealand and Australia

**Step 1: Choose a Cryptocurrency Exchange**

**Step 2: Create an Account**

1. Visit the exchange's website or download their app.
2. Sign up using your email address or phone number.
3. Complete the **KYC (Know Your Customer)** process by submitting a **valid photo ID (passport or driver's license) and proof of address.**

**Step 3: Deposit Funds**

1. Link your **bank** account, **Debit** or **Credit** card to deposit funds. Some exchanges also accept PayID or POLi in Australia, and bank transfers in New Zealand.
2. Deposit the desired amount in AUD or NZD, which will then be converted into either the desired coin: **USDT** (Tether) or **USDC** (US Dollar Coin)

**Step 4: Purchase Solana**

1. Navigate to the trading section. (**Spot Trading**) 
2. Search for Solana (**SOL**) and select the trading pair (e.g., **SOL/AUS, SOL/NZD, or SOL/USD**).
3. Enter the amount you wish to purchase and confirm the transaction.

**Step 5: Transfer to Your Wallet**

1. Transfer the purchased SOL to a secure cryptocurrency wallet (e.g., Phantom, Solflare, Magic Eden Wallet, Exodus, Metamask (Advanced users), Backpack, Ledger (cold wallet).\
